The 32nd China TV Golden Eagle Awards Announced

The 32nd China TV Golden Eagle Awards ceremony and the closing gala of the 15th China Golden Eagle TV Arts Festival took place in Changsha, Hunan. Notable achievements include:

  • Best Actor and Actress:
    • Fan Wei for his performance in The Long Season.
    • Zhao Liying for her role in Wind Blows Half Summer.
  • Best Television Drama:
    • The Three-Body Problem.
  • Best Television Drama Director:
    • Yang Lei for The Three-Body Problem.
  • Best Television Drama Screenwriter:
    • Qin Wen for Blossoms.
  • Outstanding Television Dramas:
    • The Questions of the Vastness,
    • Wind Blows Half Summer,
    • To a Place with Wind,
    • County Party Courtyard,
    • Rampage,
    • Dream of Hua Lu,
    • The Long Season,
    • Blossoms.
  • Best Supporting Actor:
    • Wang Jingchun for his role as the police station chief in Police Honor.
  • Best Supporting Actress:
    • Gao Ye for her performance in Rampage.
  • Best Television Program Host:
    • He Jiong for hosting Sound Life Continues: Island Season.
  • Best Television Variety (Art) Program:
    • Sound Life Continues: Island Season.

During her acceptance speech, Zhao Liying expressed her gratitude, stating, “I am fortunate to encounter such a vibrant and lively female character. ‘Xu Bansha’ is my ‘life role,’ appearing during my most confused moments, restoring my confidence in life and work.”

Fan Wei, who could not attend in person, shared his acceptance speech via video and revealed his “small goal”: despite his age, he always seeks to portray roles that differ from the past to offer the audience more captivating stories.

The evening also featured the Lifetime Achievement Award (Television), awarded to over ninety-year-old actor You Benchang and director Zhang Shaolin.

The China TV Golden Eagle Awards was established in 1983 and is jointly hosted by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Television Artists Association. Since 2005, the awards have been held every two years.
